What is the difference between CBD, Broad Spectrum, and Full Spectrum products?

AerosourceH products are formulated in a variety of cannabinoid profiles.  Each product’s profile is clearly denoted by including the terms “Broad Spectrum” or “Full Spectrum,” or simply “CBD.”

Our products that are labeled only with “CBD” are made with CBD isolate and contain only that specific cannabinoid compound.  CBD has a range of reported benefits on its own. According to the World Health Organization’s Critical Review Report from 2018, “CBD has been demonstrated as an effective treatment of epilepsy in several clinical trials, with one pure CBD product (Epidiolex®) with completed Phase III trials and under current review for approval in the U.S. There is also preliminary evidence that CBD may be a useful treatment for a number of other medical conditions” (https://www.who.int/medicines/access/controlled-substances/CannabidiolCriticalReview.pdf). Our CBD products contain no THC.

Broad Spectrum products are made with CBD isolate and additional minor cannabinoids such as CBG and CBDV.  The inclusion of multiple cannabinoids has been shown to engage what is known as the entourage effect and seems to enhance the effects of each cannabinoid.  Broad Spectrum products, like our CBD-only items, are THC-free to allow the user to engage the entourage effect while still avoiding THC.

Full Spectrum products contain the full natural range of cannabinoids found in the hemp plant, including trace amounts of THC.  While this is the cannabinoid most associated with the “high” feeling cannabis produces, our products contain below 0.3% THC, below the legal limit, and at a level that is not psychoactive.  Full Spectrum items are a great choice for users who want the complete cannabinoid profile in the natural proportions it is found in the plant.
